Killing Time Resurrected Game is a remake of the classic FPS game Killing Time from 1995. Nightdive Studios reworked it with better graphics and controls and added a lot of new features. It’s horror and action so you’ll be entertained till the end.

My First Experience: The Start Story and Setting

When I started playing I found myself on this weird island in the 1930s. You are a Cornell University researcher trying to uncover the secrets of Tess Conway’s lost mansion. It was a scary and weird island for an atmosphere that felt like something bad could happen with every step. It was sad walking into the mansion. As soon as I opened the door I heard strange laughter and the old rooms in that mansion had secrets.

Killing Time Resurrected Gameplay: Horror and mystery mixed

1. First-person shooter mechanics

The game is basic FPS gameplay where you have to face enemies with different weapons. I was just using a basic pistol but as I progressed in the game I found shotguns and other guns too. The enemies, of many shapes, are all clever in their own ways: “Spirits of the Damned”.

2. Puzzle solving moments

This meant defeating the enemies; there was full puzzle solving with many mysterious moments. In one of the rooms in that mansion I found a music box. When used correctly it opened a secret door. These puzzles make the game different and make you think.

3. Enemies

Spirits and Boss Fights of many kinds made the game more fun. The most memorable fight was with the ghost of Tess Conway in the basement of the mansion. As she kept attacking me I had to change my strategy to beat her.

Graphics and Sound Design

Graphics

Graphics in Killing Time Resurrected were improved well to match the standards of today’s horror games. The weird rooms of the mansion, the foggy island and the scary shapes of the enemies were all very real. The use of light and dark was great especially when I walked down a dark hallway lit by candles.

Sound Production

The sound design was top notch. The soft music and the unknown sounds in the background always gave me that eerie feeling. I heard the curtains moving in a room. I turned back to see that a ghost was waiting for me.

Story: A Mix of Old and New

The game is based on Tess Conway and her lost treasure. As I gathered papers, letters and recordings I found out that Tess tried to change her life through a magic ritual but it was a disaster. Everything in the mansion was part of her story and I had to dig to find out each one.

Iconic Moments

1. Spectral Dinner Party

In a big room in the mansion there were leftovers from a dinner party. I walked in and saw ghosts sitting at the table. They turned to me.

2. Tess Conway’s Secret

It’s only at the end of the game that the whole picture is revealed-Tess and her misfortune. The moment was epic and tied everything together.
